Construction: Kitchen

By the time we moved here in 2003, Kate had  gutted the bottom two floors of the house, replaced all the interior walls, replaced the sagging wooden floor in the living/dining area with rebar concrete and tile, installed bathrooms on the street-level floor and downstairs, and put in a staircase between the bottom and middle floors. The kitchen was a tiny corner in the living/dining area with a window looking out the back (1st picture, after the window was stoned in). We added a new kitchen onto the back of the house, with a storage area underneath, and a stone facing on the cinderblock to match the rest of the house.
